The Challenge

With conflict escalating in the Middle East, the planned flyaway was grounded. With seven days to go, our client came to us and asked us to help get the production to the Caribbean anyway.

Seven days is not a long time to build, pack and ship a full camera flyaway to multiple island venues. The kit had to travel as cargo, which meant everything specified had to fit within airline cargo limits on weight, size and piece count. There was no room for anything that did not need to be there, and no time to find out something was missing once the crew landed.

The Constraints

  • Seven days from brief to departure — availability of equipment at that notice is not guaranteed, and every item had to be sourced, checked and cleared for shipping within a window that left no margin.
  • Air cargo only — every case had to be within airline cargo limits on dimensions and weight, and the total piece count had to be manageable for a small crew to move between island venues.
  • Multiple venues across multiple islands — the same kit had to work in Grenada and then in St Kitts and St Vincent and the Grenadines, so nothing could be venue-specific and the setup had to be repeatable.

The Solution

We built a full 7-camera flyaway in 28 flyable boxes. Feeds went out over resilient IP transmission and were distributed to takers, monitored remotely by our team throughout each match.

The Result

Cricket West Indies Women vs Sri Lanka Women in Grenada, and Cricket West Indies Women vs Australia Women across St Kitts and St Vincent and the Grenadines, went to air on schedule. The production ran without issue from first ball to last.

28 boxes. A show that was within a week of not happening at all, delivered flawlessly.
